Unusual names in the Dominican Republic

Recently we read an article that a Dominican court was asked to decide if names such as Pineapple, Mazda and Dummy were acceptable children’s names. 

 

Fortunately for Dummy and Pineapple the court said they were!

 

Well that suddenly makes Life seem somewhat less sensational!  We probably wouldn’t even stand out from the crowd in the Dominican Republic.  Luckily in this country we’re somewhat more conservative and so far Life has got us lots of attention, and let’s face it – that’s exactly what we wanted.
